What is an Accelerated Adult ADHD Assessment?

Why is our Accelerated Adult ADHD Assessment different?

- An Accelerated ADHD Assessment has a diagnosis delivery time of two weeks, as opposed to the usual turnaround of 2-8 weeks.

- Being assessed by a psychiatrist, rather than a psychologist, means you can access medication directly without needing additional referrals. Saving Time.

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects up to 5% of adults in Ireland, yet fewer than 1% receive a formal diagnosis.

For adults seeking a faster ADHD diagnosis, we offer an online Accelerated Adult ADHD Assessment and diagnosis directly with our psychiatrists, including a diagnostic report and medication support (if appropriate) all completed within 2 weeks.

Our online assessment explores ADHD symptoms, medical and family history, mental health background, and how symptoms impact daily functioning.

What can an Accelerated ADHD Assessment do for me?

Getting assessed for ADHD isn’t just about identifying a condition, it’s about unlocking the tools and support you need to move forward with confidence.

Being diagnosed helps people understand themselves better, which includes gaining perspective on the reasons for some of their struggles.

Your psychiatrist will discuss your treatment options and create a personalised plan tailored to your needs, including regular reviews and therapy options. If appropriate, medication support can also be included as part of your care (covered in the fee).

Research indicates that adults with an ADHD diagnosis enjoy marked improvements in productivity, quality of life, improved functionality, and a boost in self-esteem.

  • 90-minute remote consultation with a consultant psychiatrist
  • Structured ADHD diagnosis using DIVA 2.0 (DSM-5)
  • Focused ADHD-only assessment – no screening for other psychological disorders
  • A psychiatric diagnostic report (complete within 2 weeks)
  • Direct access to medication, if clinically appropriate (included in fee)
  • Liaison with your GP and preferred pharmacy

📍 Please note: This assessment is solely for diagnosing ADHD in adults. If you require evaluation for other mental health conditions, a broader psychiatric or psychological assessment may be more appropriate.

📍 Please note: Where medication is part of your care, a mandatory follow-up consultation is scheduled 2 weeks after your assessment (€220).

📍 Ongoing medication management and review, including monthly or bi-monthly follow-ups and refill support (case-dependent) – €90.

Our online assessment with a psychiatrist is €2,000 and covers the complete assessment process, a detailed diagnostic report within 2 weeks, and, where suitable, guidance on medication.

We collaborate with all major health insurers in Ireland, including Irish Life Health, Laya Health Care, and Vhi Insurance.

No, it is not needed to book and begin the assessment; however, before ADHD medication can be considered, collaboration with your GP is required. Your GP must provide confirmation of your current health status, including height, weight, BMI, heart rate, blood pressure, and routine blood test results with ECG. They must also include a brief medical history to include any past and present medications being prescribed.

Where clinically suitable, your psychiatrist can include guidance and support with ADHD medication as part of your care. This is included in the fee.

A mandatory 2-week follow-up consultation is required for safety and monitoring of medications, side effects and to adjust dosage levels. This follow up is 220.
