Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation, your speech & language therapist will take a detailed history to gain a holistic view of your child or yourself. For children, we speak with the parent or caregiver first (usually 15 minutes), then carry out an informal assessment to understand communication needs. Younger children enjoy fun, interactive elements such as games to reward and motivate them. You’ll receive verbal feedback on the day, and written feedback afterwards. These sessions are included in our paediatric therapy and programs for children with speech delays.

Parental Guidance

Designed for parents concerned about their child’s communication, these sessions allow you to meet a speech and language therapist without the child present. Ask questions, receive professional guidance, and get strategies for use at home. Ideal for children aged 12–36 months or those who find typical sessions challenging. Written feedback and useful resources are provided after the consultation. This is part of our online therapy sessions and private therapy offerings across Ireland.

Additional Therapy Sessions

Additional 30-minute sessions can be scheduled as needed, tailored to your goals and level of support. Your therapist will explain objectives, demonstrate tasks, and provide homework exercises. These sessions are available through our Dublin and Ireland therapy programs, both in-person and online, ensuring continuity of care and personalised support.
