A HAPPIER, HEALTHIER WORKFORCE

What is an EAP and how does it work?

An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is an employee benefit programme offered by many employers across Ireland. EAPs are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and wellbeing.

Absenteeism costs the Irish economy €563 billion each year and globally 11 billion working days are lost annually to depression and anxiety.

THE DIFFERENCE

Mental health support your team will actually use

An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) only works if people know about it, trust it and feel able to use it.

Industry sources often put traditional EAP take-up at around 3–5%, meaning many employees never access the support available to them.

BetterCare EAP gives your team a more visible, clinically-led route into counselling, psychotherapy and specialist referral pathways

Appointments are typically available within 72 hours, helping your people get the right support earlier.

BETTERCARE Clinicians

About our Clinicians

We have a wide variety of clinicians from mixed backgrounds and accreditations, including licensed psychologists and psychotherapists who can support your team either remotely or in person, where available.

They specialise in solution-focused approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Existential, Compassion-Focused Therapy, psychodynamics and much more.

Our plans include up to six psychotherapy sessions per employee per year, with self-referral priority pathways to further support if requested, e.g. psychiatry or psychology- providing top-quality care in a value-driven, cost-conscious way.

Whether it’s stress, grief or personal goals, each employee gets a space to feel heard and to develop the right tools to move forward pro-actively. Furthermore, having built rapport with their therapist, employees can opt to continue working with the same clinician for further development.
